OUR CLIENTS

THE TEAM

Neil Becker

Co-Founder

Neil Becker graduated from Cornell University with a double major in Philosophy and Theater. As a scenic designer, he has designed for numerous theaters throughout Manhattan and upstate New York. While designing, Neil spent several years working for various off-Broadway scenic shops building production scenery, trade show and event furniture, commercial fixtures, and eventually residential cabinetry. A hobbyist luthier, full-time hand-tool enthusiast, and not-so-much dog-whisperer; Neil can be found behind the stove trying to roll out an even pizza crust when not behind a computer drafting a layout for one of our custom kitchens.

Peter Dubin

Co-Founder

Peter Dubin comes to us with a background in fine arts. After studying sculpture and painting, our hero went on to work for a small exhibit design and fabrication firm, where he learned wood, plastic and metal fabrication, model-making, spray finishing and silk screening, while working on projects for commercial vendors, art galleries and museums, including the Smithsonian institute. In 2002 Peter moved to NYC for the myriad opportunities to further his craft. Peter quickly found himself involved working in the often less than savory TV and film production business, building scenery and props for use in commercials, music videos, independent films, and yes, soap operas. Since 2006 Peter has worked as a freelance scenic carpenter, fabricating scenery and props for theaters on and off-Broadway, with brief forays into antique restoration and replication, custom tradeshow booth fabrication, interior renovations and painting, outdoor deck construction and yes, the carving of a large scale foam poodle.

MONTAGUE DARTIE

Company Mascot

Montague "Monty" Dartie makes sculptures and photos. By studying abstraction, signification, and communication, Dartie makes work that generates diverse meanings. Associations and meanings collide. Space becomes time and language becomes image.

THE SHOP

Home Base

Located in up-and-coming Ridgewood New York just blocks from Bushwick Brooklyn, the shop, est. 2011, is the third incarnation of our home-away-from-home. We are on the third floor of an industrial warehouse shared by about a hundred artists and fabricators, many of whom participate yearly in Bushwick Open Studios. We have an amazing view of the Manhattan skyline to the west, and access to the vibrant artistic community around us. Just blocks from the Jefferson stop off the L train, we welcome all of our clients to schedule a tour.
